Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and ERIKA when you use the service. Please read the medical disclaimer carefully.

Accepting these terms

By creating an account or using ERIKA, you agree to these terms. If you are using ERIKA on behalf of a household, you confirm you are authorized to accept these terms for that household.

What ERIKA is — and what it is not

ERIKA is a planning and organization tool. It builds a schedule of recommended well care checkups from public clinical guidance, tracks their status, stores your provider and insurance records, and reminds you when something is due.

ERIKA does not provide medical, dental, vision, or veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for care from a licensed professional. Recommendations are general and based on the information you enter. Always talk to your doctor, dentist, or veterinarian before acting on anything you see here, and never delay seeking care because of something ERIKA showed you.

In an emergency, call your local emergency number or go to the nearest emergency department. ERIKA is not monitored and cannot respond to urgent situations.

Your account

  • You must be 18 or older to hold an account.
  • Keep your password confidential and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
  • Provide accurate information — plan quality depends directly on what you enter.

Information about other people and pets

You may only add a person's information if you are that person, their parent or guardian, or otherwise authorized to act for them. You are responsible for keeping them informed about what you store here and for removing their profile when that authority ends.

Acceptable use

  • Do not use the service for anything unlawful, harmful, or deceptive.
  • Do not attempt to access another account, probe our systems, or bypass security controls.
  • Do not scrape, resell, or redistribute the clinical taxonomy or plan content.
  • Do not upload malicious files or content you have no right to share.

Your content

Everything you enter stays yours. You grant us only the permission needed to host, process, and display it so the service works for you — generating plans, sending your reminders, and showing your documents back to you.

Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans, if you choose one, are billed in advance for the period shown at checkout and renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period and you keep access until then. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law. We will give notice before any price change takes effect.

Availability and changes

We work to keep ERIKA available, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may update the clinical taxonomy as guidance changes, which can change future recommendations in your plan.

Ending your account

You can close your account at any time from Account settings. We may suspend or close an account that violates these terms, that we are required to close by law, or that has been inactive for an extended period, with notice where practical.

Disclaimers and limits

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply only as far as permitted.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use ERIKA after that means you accept the updated terms.
