Family profiles
A profile is one person or one pet. Everything ERIKA recommends flows from what the profile says.
Adding a profile
Go to Family and choose Add family member. Select the species first; the form adapts immediately, so you never see irrelevant fields.
What each field changes

| Birth date | All | Drives age windows. Most checkups start, change frequency, or stop at a given age. |
| Sex | All | Enables sex-specific screenings and reproductive-health services. |
| Height and weight | Humans | Used to compute BMI, which some rules depend on. Optional, but leaving it out disables those rules. |
| Weight and breed | Dogs and cats | Size and breed affect the timing of several veterinary recommendations. |
| Photo | All | Display only — no effect on recommendations. |
Editing a profile
Open the profile and choose Edit. Changing something that guidance depends on — a birth date correction, a weight update — is a good moment to regenerate the plan so future years reflect the new information.
Regeneration only rewrites items still marked due from the current year forward. Anything completed, scheduled or skipped is left exactly as it is.
Deleting a profile
Deleting a profile removes its plan items, risk answers and appointments with it. The action is permanent and the confirmation dialog says so before you commit.
Household tips
- Add everyone, including pets — the compliance view is most useful when the whole household is represented.
- Use full legal names for anyone whose insurance you will store, so records match at the clinic.
- Revisit weights annually; for pets especially, they move enough to matter.
